Chiltern Railways
Timetable from 14th May through to 8 December available to download - minor changes highlighted in March seem to apply. The additional services for the Olympics are included. Modern Railways for May carries the Chiltern Press Release stating that the company is pursuing punctuality, and that major changes are planned for December. Meanwhile, Barry Doe in Rail 695 praises Chiltern for highlighting the Business Zone services in the forthcoming National Rail Timetable (table 115).
Also in Rail 695, Barry is very complimentary about the Business Zone offering, especially from London to Birmingham. Alas, he has been caught out by Chiltern's own confusion about the offering, stating that both off-peak Business Zones services cost £10 each way. That was the plan, but currently the 1055 from Birmingham and the 1337 from Marylebone remain declassified (see Chiltern's Travel Trade Onboard Facts). Meanwhile, don't forget the Chiltern / Evening Standard 50p fare offer.
Finally, Chiltern are promoting their route as an alternative to the closed WCML for Liverpool fans next Saturday. Should be an interesting day operationally!
